Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Aqua Directory at aqua-directory.co.uk, operated by Ad Astra HoldCo Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number: 16884640, registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX). By using this website or creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. What Aqua Directory is — and is not

Aqua Directory is a passive online listing directory only. We provide a platform where water hygiene and legionella compliance businesses can advertise their services, and where buyers can discover and contact those businesses.

We are not a water hygiene company. We do not provide, supervise, or manage any water hygiene, legionella control, or related services. We are not a party to any agreement, contract, or transaction between a buyer and a contractor. Nothing on this website constitutes advice, a recommendation, or an endorsement of any listed contractor.

Contractor listings are either self-submitted by the businesses themselves, or sourced from publicly available registers and directories (such as Companies House and trade association member lists). We do not verify, audit, check, or validate any information submitted by or relating to listed contractors, including (without limitation) their accreditations, certifications, insurance status, qualifications, service quality, geographic coverage, or trading status. Information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.

2. Buyer responsibilities

If you use Aqua Directory to find a contractor, you do so entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for:

• Verifying that any contractor is appropriately qualified, accredited, and insured for the work you require
• Confirming that accreditations and certifications listed are current and valid
• Carrying out any other due diligence you consider appropriate before engaging a contractor
• All dealings, negotiations, contracts, and disputes with any contractor

Submitting an enquiry through Aqua Directory does not create any contract, obligation, or relationship between you and Ad Astra HoldCo Limited.

3. Contractor terms

Accuracy of listings

Contractors are solely responsible for ensuring that their listing information is accurate, complete, and kept up to date. By listing on Aqua Directory you warrant that the information you provide is true and not misleading. We may suspend or remove listings that we believe, in our sole discretion, to be inaccurate, misleading, or outside the scope of the directory, but we are under no obligation to do so and shall not be liable for any failure to detect or remove such listings.

Free listings

Free listings are provided at our discretion. We may decline, remove, or modify any listing at any time without notice or liability.

Verified listings (paid tier — £49 + VAT/month)

Verified listings are billed monthly via Stripe. By subscribing you agree to:

• Monthly recurring billing until you cancel
• Cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds for partial months except where required by law
• Price changes communicated with at least 30 days' notice

You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. On cancellation your free listing remains active; the Verified badge and full buyer contact details are removed at the end of the paid period.

4. Disclaimer of warranties

Aqua Directory and all content on it is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that the directory is complete, accurate, current, or fit for any particular purpose. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ad Astra HoldCo Limited, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) Aqua Directory, including without limitation:

• Any reliance on information contained in any contractor listing
• Any act or omission of any contractor found through the directory
• Any defective, negligent, or unlawful services provided by any listed contractor
• Any direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or economic loss
• Loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, data, or goodwill

Our total aggregate liability to you (for whatever cause and however arising) shall not exceed £100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Aqua Directory to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harvest contact details for unsolicited marketing
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to our systems
• Impersonate another business or individual

7. Intellectual property

The Aqua Directory name, logo, and platform are owned by Ad Astra HoldCo Limited. Contractor listing content remains the property of the respective contractors. By submitting content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the platform and in related marketing.

8. Third-party links

Listings may include links to contractor websites. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content of any third-party website.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes affecting paid subscribers will be notified by email with 30 days' notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
