Office Reopening Water Hygiene Checklist

Low occupancy can reduce water turnover, so reopening plans should include flushing, temperature checks, and review of little-used outlets.

Check whether the risk assessment and written scheme still reflect how the office is actually used after hybrid working, floor closures, or tenant changes.

Before staff return, verify hot and cold temperatures, tank condition, shower routines, TMV performance, and any outstanding remedial actions.

Document what was done, when, by whom, and what exceptions were found so the reopening decision is evidence-led.

If the building has been largely unused for an extended period, consider contractor support for sampling, disinfection, or reassessment.
